Keyed in: how grimy is your board?

Stop what you are doing right now at your desktop and look at your keyboard. Is it pristine? Congrats, it's new. Would you like to keep it/restore it? Please read on.

1. Turn your computer off. I never do this. Always regret it. Be a grown-up.

2. Turn keyboard upside down and shake/tap.

3. If you have it handy, or you're feeling ambitious, take a cotton swab and dab at least 60% isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) in an inconspicuous area to make sure it won't discolor your keyboard. After 24 hours, wipe all the key crevices with it. Alternatively, you can also just go for it and hope nothing gets ruined.

4. Apply your Cyber Clean.

It eliminates most germs, and nearly all crumbs/hairs/dust/dirt. I like to roll it hard over my keyboard. The only downside is it traps all the gross bits and never lets them go, which means you will replace it sooner than planned as you become progressively more grossed out.

Now enjoy your fancy new clean feeling. XO, WHWA
