There used to be a time when I would leave some lemon water in a yeti in my car and not wash it immediately and think to my self: "Now I can never use you again". Back then, an aluminum bottle defiled was an aluminum bottle for the recycle pile. I had previously tried the following: scrubbing with warm soapy water, baking soda and white wine vinegar, burning sage, praying to the moon. No matter how hard I scrubbed or dreamed, there was no good way to get that neutral aluminum life back...until now

I saw this on a Prime Day Deal (story of my life) and had to try. I demonstrated the below on an old mug I picked up in Guatemala years ago that had coffee stains all over. Witness the glory:
